Torsion springs mount on a bar above the door opening and twist to lift the door. Extension springs run along the sides of the door tracks and stretch as the door lowers. Our technicians can tell you which type your door uses and which replacement fits.
Common signs include a loud bang from the garage, a door that feels very heavy or will not lift, an opener that strains, or a visible gap in the torsion spring. If you see any of these, stop using the door and give us a call.
